Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
I require an STA to conduct field experiments in the 902-928 MHz ISM band using commercial digital radio equipment. The manufacturers specifications for this device fall within the parameters of an intentional radiator compliant with Part 15; however, the manufacturer has not sought FCC certification. The experiments will be conducted in conjunction with a Joint Interagency Field Experimentation (JIFX) event held by the Naval Postgraduate School at California Army National Guard Base, Camp Roberts, California. The JIFX event will be held 7-11 November, 2016. The California Army National Guard requires an STA for intentional radiators of this type. As the event begins on Monday, November 7, I request decision by Friday, November 4. Additional information on this JIFX event can be found at my.nps.edu/web/fx.
