Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Lockheed Martin seeks STA to test and demonstrate UAS technology at Marine Corps Base Quantico in October 2016. The Quantico Range Manager requires evidence of FCC Special Temporary Authority in order for the operations to proceed. The vehicle will not fly above 400 feet AGL and will remain within line of sight. The U.S. Army POC for this demonstration: Mark L. Purdy, US Army NVESD, DSN 312-654-1058, COM 703-704-1058.
