The frequencies required to support the proposed evaluations cannot be utilized without experimental authority. Given the duration of the program of study, only Special Temporary Authority (STA) is required. Our research will benefit the government, industry, and the commercial sector through improvements in the developments of our technology.

Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
Lockheed Martin Corporation will conduct performance evaluations of its ICARUS technologies and equipment in conjunction with the Marine Corps and the MITRE Corporation at Marine Corps Base Quantico. The current application requests FCC authority only to operate in 902-928 MHz. The 900 MHz frequencies will provide UAS control, telemetry, and video links to the ICARUS system.
