Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
To operate a radar system in fulfillment of a U.S. Government contract. Lockheed Martin currently operates a radar system at its Moorestown facility in fulfillment of a U.S. Government contract. The program was issued authority to operate the same system for a short duration period (12 weeks) (FCC File No. 0053-EX-ST-2017) at NASA/Wallops for the purpose of demonstrating functionality. Lockheed Martin has since secured the consent of the WFF Spectrum Manager through September 2017. In consultation with the WFF Spectrum Manager, Lockheed Martin hereby respectfully requests extension of its current STA for an additional four months to permit it to complete the demonstration and testing and to match the conditional authority issued by NASA (File Nos. 1114 and 1115, dated 03/13/2017).
