Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Lockheed Martin is participating in Trident Warrior 2009 to demonstrate how MUOS, the next generation of DOD tactical SATCOM, will enhance the Extended Maritime Interdictions Operations (EMIO). Lockheed Martin will be testing a MUOS emulator. Trident Warrior Challenge will be held in the month of June thus Lockheed Martin is requesting an FCC Special Temporary Authorization to operate during that month.
