The radio operation is to transmit command and control to and from a small (Class 1 size) unmanned Ariel vehicle, named Terminator. Terminator is a Lockheed Martin program participating at Backdraft 2014 Pt. Mugu Naval Base (NBVC, Naval Base Ventura County) as a US Army Lethal Miniature Aerial Munition System program contestant. All flights are non-lethal. All flights have planned operation and recovery of the Terminator Airframe on NavAirs planned operational space only. Microhard IPnDDL2300 frequency range and operation at 2.304 GHz is a good low background noise band that ensures the success of controlling and data acquisition in these Terminator tests.
