Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
To verify successful integration of the Testbed for Rapid Warfighter Response / Experimentation (T-REX) systems into a military aircraft.
Special Temporary Authority application - Information
Callsign:
WN9XFS
Class of Station:
FX
Nature of Service:
Experimental
Special Temporary Authority application - Initial values - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
The purpose of the test is to verify successful integration of the T-REX system by sending and receiving signals on specific frequencies between the aircraft and calibration trailers. The test will consist of the calibration trailers emitting a calibration tone at the given frequency, while the T-REX verifies successful reception and processing of that tone. Additionally, the T-REX will emit a signal at the given frequency, while external signal analyzers will verify the transmitted signal meets the expected frequency and amplitude of that signal. Aircraft will be grounded during this test. No airborne testing.
