We are pursuing an STA in order to support a September 2018 technology demonstration with the USMC. We hope afterwards to apply for an experimental certificate, and then a more permanent approval.

Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
The USMC is testing a lighter, smaller off road vehicle. Generally, it needs more compact communications gear. Our antenna is a flat panel design that can communicate over geo-stationary satellites. They would like to ultimately use our antenna on this vehicle. The September demonstration will be static however, meaning the vehicle will not be in motion.
