Special Temporary Authority application - Information
Callsign:
WL9XHE
Class of Station:
FX
Nature of Service:
Experimental
Special Temporary Authority application - Initial values - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
The purpose of this STA is to develop and perfect technical implementation and business operational strategies for the transmission of broadband data under the new Part 96 rules. This includes transmissions between fixed and mobile devices and fixed base station located at existing commercial facilities; and evaluating CBRS wireless operations and their impact on , interactions with an already cluttered 3.65 GHz environment. Due to proximity with the ocean all operations will include and depend upon an experimental SAS and ESC. This STA will enable testing of new Part 96 CBRS radios under the control of a SAS and ESC and will contribute to the development, extension and expansion of the radio art, specifically the new Part 96 Citizens Band Radio Service (CBRS) Furthermore, it will enable testing, development, collaborative evaluation and perfection of protection strategies; business processes for fixed satellite service (FSS) stations. The various tests, developments and evaluations undertaken during the term of this STA will contribute to the furtherance of the CBRS radio art and are in the public interest.
