Please explain the purpose of operation:
Testing of a radar controlled lighting and audio messaging system for obstacle and powerline avoidance in order to improve air navigation safety. to test a new radar controlled lighting and audio system for improving the safety to air navigation. in particular obstruction marking and lighting of power lines. the radar picks up approaching aircraft and turns on the strobe lights to warn pilots of an obstruction. if the aircraft does not take evasive actions and continues to approach the obstruction then a audio message will be transmitted to the aircraft alerting them of pending danger. the radar and radio coverage is limited in area.
