Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation

Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
MIL-STD-188-125 Volume 1 and 2 require a Continuous Wave Immersion (CWI) test. CWI testing requires illuminating a test object with RF energy over a frequency range from l00kHz to 1GHz. We plan to radiate with a 100 W power amplifier and an 8dBi (max) antenna system. Therefore our peak power and Effective Radiated Power will be substantial enough the we believe that an STA is necessary. The proposed CWI testing will be at our Colorado Springs office

Special Temporary Authority application - Initial values - Explanation

Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
MIL-STD-188-125 Volume 1 and 2 require a Continuous Wave Immersion (CWI) test. CWI testing requires illuminating a test object with RF energy over a frequency range from l00kHz to 1GHz. The attached supplemental information paper describes the process in much more detail. We plan to radiate with a 100 W power amplifier and an 8dBi (max) antenna system. Therefore our peak power and Effective Radiated Power will be substantial enough the we believe that an STA is necessary. The proposed CWI testing will be at our Colorado Springs office
