Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Operation of a Kongsberg Marine Broadband Radio data telemetry system to support operation of a robotic vessel at sea with a NOAA Survey Vessel.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Conducts research and development in technologies to support NOAAs mission, in particular that of seafloor mapping to support nautical charting and safety of navigation. Part of that research is the development, test and evaluation of unmanned (robotic) marine vessels equipped with sensors for such objectives. The radio system will provide a telemetry link between the operator and vessel, in which the operator may be on shore, or in a manned support vessel operating in the vicinity of the unmanned system at sea
