Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
The Hume Center at Virginia Tech is performing research which requires the measurement of radio wave propagation near 3.5 GHz. As a result, we will need to set up temporary transmitters within the 3300-3500 Amateur Radio Band, on a non-interfering basis, to take these measurements. Efforts will be made to coordinate with local radio amateurs to avoid interfering with amateur operations (e.g., weak signal work near 3456 MHz).
