Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation
- Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
- This STA is needed for a two day workshop and joint experiment session with the Public Safety Communications Research Division of NIST, at Boulder, CO and some surronding areas. This interaction is a result of a Dept. of Commerce research grant to Texas A&M University. The participants in this experiment session are Texas A&M Unviersity (lead on the grant) and Ohio University (sub-contractor). The STA will cover cellular frequencies, mainly bands 3, 5, 7, and 41 in both the uplink and downlink. The transmission power is very low at less than 30 dBm per antenna per transmitter.
