Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
To facilitate their efforts to serve the Land Mobile Radio (LMR) critical communications market detailed below in section 5, Harris Corporation (Harris) holds Experimental License WC2XZK covering operations in all of the Land Mobile frequencies where Harris provides equipment. Currently this license is for operations at two sites in Lynchburg, VA, two sites in Lowell, MA, and one site in Harrisburg, PA. M/A-COM respectfully requests the Commission grant Special Temporary Authorization to permit demonstration and evaluation of their radio equipment at the location designated in the application.
