Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Harris Corporation (Harris) hereby requests an additional extension of the STA previously authorized under FCC File No. 0752-EX-ST-2014 to continue critical testing. Harris currently has a pending permanent experimental license request (File No. 0140-EX-PL-2014) for the operations authorized under this STA. Harris has been coordinating with the FAA to obtain an NGT number assignment from the FAA Regional Frequency Management Office and is finalizing the coordination for that permanent experimental license request. Harris has advised the FAA Regional Frequency Management Office it will adhere to the FAA recommended power levels and blanking requirements and is awaiting final NGT issuance. Because Harris fully expects the FAA coordination to be completed in the very near term on the permanent application, a three month extension of STA is requested.
