Please explain the purpose of operation:
On February 6, 2012, Google Fiber, Inc. (Google Fiber) was granted special temporary authority (Call Sign WF9XLK, File No. 0005-EX-ST-2012) to test equipment as part of a fiber residential gateway (STA). The STA expires August 6, 2012. Based on projected milestones, Google Fiber anticipates that it will have fully certified and compliant devices within the next 120 days, but not prior to August 6, 2012. In order to allow Google Fiber to continue operations pursuant to its STA during this period, Google Fiber seeks to renew the STA and also to modify the STA to permit it to test one additional device subject to the same terms and conditions as the current STA, and to increase the number of units of each device tested from 100 to 150.
