The STA is necessary to permit demonstration and experiments associated with a terrestrial low power data service using the Globalstar S-Band satellite allocation and approximately 10 MHz of the upper ISM band. Please explain the purpose of operation:
Experimental operations will take place between 2473 and 2495 MHz at conducted powers less than 1 W and effective radiated powers less than 4 W. Experimental transmissions will use OFDM modulation (emission: 22M0M9W) which is identical to 802.11n operations in the 2.4 GHz ISM band.
