Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Fortem Technologies has developed Detect and Avoid(DAA) and Detect and Attack(Counter Drone) Radar systems which operate in the Aeronautical Radionavigation(15.4-15.7GHz) and Radiolocation(15.7-16.5) bands. Detect and Avoid has been classified as Aeronautical Radionavigation and Counter Drone technology has been classified as Radiolocation. Fortem has been granted FCCID: 2APIM-FTR20SKYD for the 15.4-15.7 band and is seeking further testing at various locations in the 15.4-16.5 band for the dual function of Detect and Avoid and Detect and Attack. (Please review STA grant for file 1533-EX-ST-2018) This STA is necessary to support work we are currently doing for commercial and government contracts
