Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation

Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
We are planning the successor to our current wireless testbed (operating as WH2XFV), and we are preparing a demonstration of larger scale than our current deployment. This demonstration is in anticipation of a site visit by the PAWR Project Office (www.advancedwireless.org) and during that time we will require temporary privileges for transmitting outside the limits of our current license.

Please explain the purpose of operation:
The operation is to prepare for the construction of an extended mobile network testbed, and plan for full deployment of our system to follow in 2018. This work is supported by grant #1305384 from the National Science Foundation (CI-ADDO-NEW: PhantomNet: An End-to-End Mobile Network Testbed); an overview of the project is available from: http://www.phantomnet.org/
