An STA is requested on an expedited basis because the applicant has a limited window (August 24-29, 2026) to conduct hardware testing at the vendors Huntsville, AL facility. The EchoGuard radar (24.45-24.65 GHz) does not currently hold FCC certification for use at this site, and the testing window is fixed by the vendors availability, making standard-track licensing timing infeasible.

Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
The purpose of this operation is to conduct side-by-side hardware evaluation of the EchoGuard radar against a Rada radar system at the vendors test site, in support of ongoing counter-UAS product testing. This is a short-duration technical evaluation, not a permanent installation, and is limited to the dates specified above.
