Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
CX2 will conduct a technical evaluation of its Daemon RF emitter in coordination with the Defense Innovation Unit and 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. The purpose of this test is to validate that the emitter operates as designed within the 2400 & 2450 MHz ISM band and remains within the authorized power levels and emission characteristics specified in the STA. The Daemon system is a ground-based stationary experimental transmitter. It will not be airborne and will not be mounted to any aircraft, UAS, or elevated platform. The antenna will remain below 6 meters above ground level. Daemon will generate controlled OFDM waveforms for system validation only. Testing will consist of short-duration emissions for verification while Army personnel assess performance. Testing will occur within the Schofield Range Training Complex. The system will not exceed the requested power limits and will operate exclusively within the requested frequency range.
