Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
The purpose of this operation is to test a data link that communicates from an Aircraft to Multiple Ground control stations, as well as remotely piloted air vehicles. The WB-57 will climb from Ellington field to the south and enter a hold race track orbit along the coast for NE, SW for 170 miles the short legs will be NW, SE and will be less than 30 miles in length, the altitude will be blocked from 45k -50k ft MSL. there second Mobile antenna is a MMT omni antenna positioned on an Aircraft flying much lower: 6k ft MSL up to 25k ft MSL. it will fly a shorter race track orbit to the north of the WB-57 holding track. The hold for the Second aircraft will be 30 miles in length located near the center of the WB-57 track offset to the north. Both race track Hold orbits can be viewed in the attachment test summery page three.
