Temporary Vehicle - Vehicle Communication Interoperability project involving 8 major auto manufacturers and the USDOT. Project is part of the larger NHTSA sponsored Intellidrive project. STA requested to support the operation of an indoor GPS repeater system for a small wireless communications laboratory in Farmington Hills Michigan.

Please explain the purpose of operation:
Laboratory required to test interoperability and medium to large scale interaction of vehicle communication hardware that will be used to facilitate improvements in vehicle safety. GPS repeater system is required for the requisite hardware to be used indoors and maintain proper GPS signal and timing functionality.
