Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
A large volume of microwave communications are necessary for operational and video production purposes during the fifth annual Formula One Grand Prix Automobile Race at the Circuit of the Americas race venue in Austin, Texas during the qualifying events and the race itself. Large numbers of race teams from Europe and other parts of the world will be bringing their equipment to the race track for video production and for operational communications. Sufficient frequencies for this purpose cannot be obtained through the Commissions licensing process, though the applicant, the race track owner, is a licensee of the Commission in the LP Auxiliary, LTTS and Land Mobile Radio Services. As explained in the attached narrative, this STA application is very similar to three STAs granted in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 for this same event.
