Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Cessna needs to perform EMI/EMC tests to certify a new aircraft configuration as required by 14CFR 25.1301(d), 25.1353(a) and 25.1431(c). The FAA is coordinating frequencies for an STA to conduct aircraft certification tests for our next program while they consider a request for longer term authorizations.
