Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
CACI seeks approval to broadcast in portions of the S & C Band reserved for use by the Federal Government. CACIs original intent was to transition to an Experimental Radio Station Authorization (Form 442) upon contract award, however, the government has needed additional time to review submissions. This delay has pushed the contract timelines beyond the expiration date of our initial STA. Therefore CACI requests additional time in order to complete our efforts in support of this upcoming contract.

Please explain the purpose of operation:
CACI seeks FCC special temporary authority to evaluate IP mesh radio equipment and associated software designed to support wireless video communications capabilities and functionalities. It proposes to operate a limited number of low power, temporary, fixed base transmitters and associated mobile units outdoors at and near the CACI premises in High Point, NC. The IP mesh radio network would be utilized to demonstrate and validate the system’s capabilities for federal customers.
