Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Applicant is a video production company which provides video for broadcast, satellite broadcast and cablecast of sporting and other events. Applicant has certain LTTS, BAS and private wireless licenses for this purpose. However, the spectrum demands in this major city, and the limited UHF spectrum for this event makes it necessary to make coordinated, temporary use of additional channels in the vicinity of the 450-520 MHz in the television UHF band. Such is necessary to have sufficent communications from RF camera personel at numerous locations around the race track. The UHF channel will be coordinated with the local SBE coordinator.
