Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This regards a request by Broad Comm, Inc. (Broad Comm) for Special Temporary Authority (STA) to allow use of a number of additional UHF frequencies to provide security and logistical support for the 2016 Ryder Cup Golf Tournament between September 20 and October 4, 2016 including setup and take down time. Broad Comm was previously granted an STA for this event (Call Sign WK9XHJ, File Number 1206-EX-ST-2016); however, it has now been determined that additional frequencies will be required. The number of frequencies and units requested is necessary to allow for the fact that the spectrum is shared with other users therefore not always available and the need to support a large event staff. Broad Comm provides radio frequency support services to various entities at major events. The FCC has granted Broad Comm and others similar requests for numerous previous events.
