Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary: This regards a request by Broad Comm, Inc. (Broad Comm) for Special Temporary Authority (STA) to allow use of 4 frequencies in the 6 GHz band for the purpose of providing coverage of events related to the New York, NY Times Square New Years Eve Celebration (2017/2018) for the period of December 28. 2017 through January 2, 2018. The specific frequencies being requested are needed to be compatible with the equipment normally used in conjunction with this type of event. The FCC has granted Broad Comm and others similar requests for several previous events. The number of frequencies and units requested is minimum to satisfy the needs of this activity
