Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This regards a request by Broad Comm, Inc. (Broad Comm) for Special Temporary Authority (STA) to allow use of a number of UHF frequencies to provide logistical support for the 2016 Connecticut Open Tennis Tournament between August 17 and August 29, 2016 (including setup and take down). The tournament will be held at the Connecticut Tennis Center at Yale in New Haven, CT . The number of frequencies and units requested is necessary to allow for the fact that the spectrum is shared with other users therefore not always available and the need to support a significant number of event staff. Broad Comm provides radio frequency support services to various entities at major events. The FCC has granted Broad Comm and others similar requests for numerous previous events.
