Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This regards a request by Broad Comm, Inc. (Broad Comm) for Special Temporary Authority (STA) to allow use of several frequencies in the 854 - 870 MHz band. The purpose is to provide logistics support for high altitude (120,000 feet) parachute jumps during the period of May 27, 2014 through October 31, 2014. The jumps will take place in the Roswell, NM area. Broad Comm provides radio frequency support services to various entities at major events. The FCC has granted Broad Comm and others similar requests for numerous previous events.
