Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This regards a request by Broad Comm, Inc. (Broad Comm) to amend the Special Temporary Authority (STA) granted January 7, 2015 (File number: 1137-EX-ST-2014, Call Sign: WH9XUN) to add of a number of additional frequencies. The reason for the request is the heighten terrorism threat that surrounds this event (The 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships) that includes participants from countries from around the world some of which have been the victims of recent terrorist activity. The additional frequencies will be used to provide additional safety and security support for the event. The 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships at Beaver Creek, CO begins on February 2 and runs through February 15, 2015. The request covers both the event as well as pre/post event activities. Please see attachement for a list showing only additional the frequencies requested.
