Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Development testing of new wireless security products. Products are targeted for use in the European home security market. Wireless communications operating in the 868.6 ? 869.7MHz frequency band. This band of frequencies is used for security systems in Europe and is regulated under the harmonized standard CEPT/ERC/REC 70-03 E. Our engineering group is located in Rochester, NY and we would like to field test prototype units for several months prior to sending them to Europe for field testing at trusted customer sites.

New product development. Test a number of systems in a typical operating environment to ensure proper operation. Field testing of prototype wireless home security sensor devices. The wireless devices (motion detectors, door/window sensors, keypad, keyfob, etc) would be similar in functionality to security sensors found in typical wired security systems. Each device contains an RF transceiver which is used to maintain contact with a central controller. Actual testing would involve the temporary installation of up to twenty prototype devices per site which would then be used as would sensor devices in any security system. Test participants would be company employees.
