Please explain the purpose of operation:
The Boeing Company has the need to test and validate electronic equipment in conjunction with satellite earth station(s) transmitting on the East Coast, specifically in the States of Florida, Maryland and Virginia. The 1.2 Meter Ku-band earth stations will be used for the testing of this equipment and will be needed for a duration of more than 6 months, but less than two years, which is the maximum licensing time period for an Experimental License. They are not being applied for license through the International Bureau, since the standard International Bureau fixed transmit/receive earth station license time frame of 15 years is not necessary or required for this project testing. The 1.2 Meter satellite earth station(s) will be used for testing purposes only and not to establish permanent communications links from any Boeing facility.
