Special Temporary Authority application - Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
BAE needs to conduct limited testing of an experimental transmitter to characterize its performance and investigate if it can be used to effect electronics such as computer networks. The testing will be conducted inside the BAE facility with partial absorption of the signal by radar absorbing material. Multiple cinder block and re-bar walls are also isolating the signal from the exterior of the building. This is being conducted as an internal technology demonstration effort for eventual use by the defense department.
