BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration Inc. (BAE Systems) requests that the Commission grant special temporary authority (STA) to permit BAE Systems to operate the facilities (the Facilities) specified in the instant STA Request.This STA Request is being submitted in order to obtain authority to operate the same precise Prior Granted Facilities (0816-EX-ST-2006) for Internal Research and Development activities ("Additional IR&D"). The company requests to operate under the same parameters of the 0816-EX-ST-2006 grant while the 2-year application 0225-EX-PL-2007 is pending.

The testing at the Merrimack Test Facilities is a critical part of the manufacture and delivery of military systems provided to the Armed Forces in support of Homeland Security and war efforts. The testing specified in this application will be conducted by BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration Inc., which is a major producer of electronic warfare systems, protection systems, and tactical surveillance and intelligence systems for all branches of the armed forces.
