This STA is necessary to support flight telemetry and video streaming for ONR program AACUS in the Manassas VA area. ISM radios are not powerful enough to stream the required data at the desired distances.

Special Temporary Authority application - Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:
A radio integrated onto an experimental class manned rotor craft will stream video and telemetry to a viewing area. The rotor craft will also stream telemetry to up to 3 remote viewers utilizing hand held radios. The radios MiMo radios range from 2x2 to 4x4 with 4W & 8W output power respectively. The man mobile radios will utilize omnidirectional antennas and the main viewing area radio will utilize a combination of omnidirectional and panel antennas.
