A Special Temporary Authorization is required to operate a StreamCaster 4200/4400 Data Link, and VHF support radios, in the Twentynine Palms and Camp Pendleton areas. An STA is best for this event because the operation will last for a period of less than 6 months.

Please explain the purpose of operation:
The purpose of the operation is to perform a Flight Test in the Twentynine Palms and Camp Pendleton areas. The data link consists of a ground station communicating to and from an aircraft. The ground station will uplink to the aircraft and the aircraft will downlink to the ground station. The VHF frequencies are only needed at the Twentynine Palms location.
