This experimental authorization will be used for validation of proper airborne operation of the Leonardo Osprey 30 multi-mode radar system. Operation will be infrequent and of short duration (30 minutes at a time) High bandwidth SAR mode testing will be with antenna directed at close-in ground and maritime targets in sparsely populated areas. Actual test operations will occur within restricted airspace of Patuxent River NAS Range in full coordination with the facility range and frequency coordinators.
