Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
The applicant is a Cable Network Entity and had previously applied on May 21, 2015 for a Broadcast Auxiliary TV Pick-Up license believing it qualified as a Broadcast Network Entity; however, that application was returned due to ineligibility. The applicant is now in the process of applying for a cable television relay service (CARS) pick up license as suggested by the Commission. The more than seven week delay from the time the initial license application was filed until it was returned has compromised the scheduled roll out of this new system. Therefore, while awaiting processing of the application for the cable television relay service pick up license an extension of the current STA is being requested to allow for uninterrupted operation. The CARS application (CAR-20151118AB-12) has been initially accepted and put out for public notice and therefore should be granted in the near future.
