Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Site will be used for evaluation tests of new antennas for the Transponder Landing System (TLS). The TLS is being reviewed under FAA contract # DTFA01-01-C00033. Testing period will be limited to 9/2/02 through 10/31/02.

Please explain the purpose of operation:
Evaluated antennas are responsible for transmission of ILS frequencies as part of TLS operation. Evaluation of tests includes antenna gain, and service volume coverage verifications. Testing at this site was done with an STA previously. STA Call Sign KS2XAE (file # S-2182-EX-95)expired 8/30/96. Assigned ILS frequency set at that time was 108.35/333.95 MHz.
