Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
xWe are requesting an extension until December 31, 2017, i.e. an additional 3 months. In our original application, attached, we described a test of up to 500 pre-certification devices. Due to manufacturing delays and design changes, there are fewer than 50 in the field today. None of those changes impact the emission profile, but have impacted our ability to get near-final prototypes into the hands of appropriate field testers. Since our tests require some number of weeks to yield sufficient data for our validation exercises, we are fast approaching a de facto cut-off in our ability to ship test units. While we are still targeting certification of FCC compliance in Q3 2017, we thought it prudent to seek an extension of the trial period so that we wouldn’t have to prematurely pull units back out of the field before full field testing and market trials were complete. The certification of this product is still expected to be complete in Q3 or Q4 2017.
