Purpose of the Operation:

Approval of this experimental license will allow ViaSat to perform testing of new modem burst
waveforms and time division multiple access (TDMA) framing.

Testing will use one 1.8 m antenna as a simulated hub and up to fifty 75 cm antennas as
simulated user terminals.

During testing, transmissions will be sent to ViaSat’s WildBlue-1 and Anik-F2 satellites at
111.1 degrees west longitude, and monitored by ViaSat engineers as well as the ViaSat satellite
operations center. If in the event interference is detected or for any other reason it is necessary
to cease transmissions, ViaSat maintains a 7/24 Network Operations Center which can be
reached at 1-720-493-7300.
