Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Pursuant to Section 5.61 of the Commission rules, 47 C.F.R. sect. 5.61, Verizon Wireless (VAW) LLC, a subsidiary of Cellco Partnership; hereby respectfully requests special temporary authority beginning June 1, 2015 to test LTE equipment on the 850 A and B band licensed spectrum where power limits will exceed the maximum of 500 Watts ERP; as well as, the impact of using Power Spectral Density measure for determining cellular base station power transmission limits. This is a First Market Application for LTE on 850 for Verizon and we are testing the equipment for reliability and support of 4 way transmit and receive.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  To evaluate the potential impact to service performance upon adjacent-band Public Safety mobile devices. Verizon intends to evaluate the potential impact to service performance upon adjacent-band Public Safety mobile devices, using various combinations of transmitted power spectral density, bandwidth and center channel configuration of an 850 MHz LTE carrier. Should any issues arise during testing immediate steps will be taken to mitigate the interference. Verizon will coordinate testing with the following local Public Safety Agencies:
