Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
We are requesting a STA to allow transmissions from our QB50 CubeSat (Challenger) to the GlobalStar Constellation. We expect the duration of the mission to be 6 months. We are coordinating with GlobalStar on this effort and they will submit a supplemental STA.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  The objective of the QB50 CubeSat mission is to make measurements of the composition and temperature of the lower thermosphere. Challenger will be launched to the International Space Station in December and is expected to be deployed between January and April 2017. We are requesting our license before delivery of the Spacecraft in late July.
