                                 Environmental Assessment

Item 9 of FCC Form 442 asks “Would a commission grant of this application come within
Section 1.1307 of the FCC Rules, such that it may have a significant environmental impact.”
United Wireless Communications, Inc. (“United Wireless”) has answered “No” to this question in
its application for an Experimental Radio Service License (File No. 0761-EX-CN-2017) as
facilities authorized under an experimental radio license for a period not to exceed twenty-four
months are exempt from review pursuant to the Nationwide Programmatic Agreement Regarding
Section 106 (NHPA). 9 As United Wireless is not requesting experimental authority for a period
exceeding twenty-four months, environmental assessment provisions of Section 1.1307 of the
Commission’s Rules are inapplicable. Nevertheless, United Wireless understands that it must
comply with Commission rules and regulations governing environmental and historic preservation
matters, and confirms that it will do so before commencing permanent operations.
