Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
This STA is being sought for the Vulcan Pathfinder Cryogenic Fuel Tanking Test at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station Launch Complex 41. This test is part of certifying that the new Vulcan rocket can execute prelaunch countdown operations including fueling the vehicle, but will not result in an actual launch of the vehicle. As part of this test the Vulcan Booster RF Transmitter systems will be activated and verified compatible with the local Eastern Test Range ground station TEL-4. This test is manifested for an earliest Initial Test Capability of June 25, 2021. Open RF transmissions could begin as early as June 25,2021 and would be executed intermittently during the duration of the testing which has current test windows of June 25 - June 30. These test windows are highly volatile and dependent on multiple launch schedules at the site but testing will occur within 6 months of the requested test start.
