Subject: Compliance with NTIA 8.3.28, Experimental License Application


To whom it may concern:
Here are the following answers to 8.38.28. Use of devices that re—radiate signals received from the
global positioning system.


                    We are only using one GPS repeater at each location listed on the license.

                    The GPS transmitter will be used as an "Experimental RNSS Test Equipment".
                    Union Pacific Railroad does not have a problem with the application to be entered into GMF.
                    Union Pacific Railroad does not have a problem with the license only being two years in length.
                    The GPS repeater will be fixed locations and we will not have any mobile GPS repeaters.
                    Any potential interference will be under our control.
                    I will include an attachment showing the calculations that we meet the requirements of
                    —140/24Mh2z at a distance of 100ft (30 meters) from the building where the testing is being
                    conducted.
       8.           The GPS repeaters are being installed within a building and interference from these devices
                    should be minimal. Union Pacific Railroad will post signs on the outside of the building to alert
                    people of the possible GPS interference.
       9.           We will only use the GPS repeater for testing according to RNSS equipment/systems standards.
       10. The "Stop Buzzer" for this testing will be David LaChapelle.
