Explanation
Please explain in the area below why an STA is necessary:
Trimble intends to use its temporary authorization to test methods to mitigate the effects of co-channel interference in the 35 MHz paging channels. Trimble believes that it will need to operate its station under temporary experimental authority for no more than six months. The experimental testing will be used to calibrate a radio propagation model, mitigate the effects of co-channel interference, and evaluate the operational consequences of using transmitters placed on mountains. Trimble's experiments will not cause harmful interference into existing paging operations because, according to the Commission's ULS database and the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau's paging database, the channel requested by Trimble (35.46 MHz) is not licensed in California, the state where its proposed transmitter is located.

Purpose of Operation
Please explain the purpose of operation:  Test and development of paging technology.
